How to Split large .xml files on Windows.

If you want to migrate from one host to another using WordPress’s inbuilt import/export feature then you have to download .xml files and upload it to newly installed WordPress on new  host , but WordPress limits you to import .xml files of only 2Mb in size.  so we are here with a tutorial on how to split .xml files.

To split .xml file first you need to to download lightweight software named  WXR File Splitter (size:about 40Kb)

After downloading the software open it(this software requires no installation once you downloaded yo can immediately on your Windows pc)

after opening you will see WXR File Splitter window then click on ‘Open WXR File’ button to import large .xml file then click on ‘Split File’ button to start splitting your large .xml file if all goes well you will see result in an opened window where splitted file is saved.
